About us
ImplantPassport was created by Barts Heart Centre, one of the largest cardiovascular centres in Europe, using charitable funding for patients in the United Kingdom. It has been developed with support from professional societies, patients, patient charities and hospitals.
Making implant information available when it is needed means working at multiple levels to make a digital platform relevant in the real world. We have spent years working with commissioners, policy makers, patients, referrers and clinicians to reduce barriers so care is provided when it is needed.
The platform has been developed in this context to make care “safer, easier and faster”.
Assurance and Governance
We have worked with NHS Information Governance teams to ensure the platform meets the rigorous standards required to manage patient information.
